![]() ![]() The price was a little under $7000, including delivery, a free tuning, and a 10 year warranty, so I'm wondering about the quality. I found an Artist grand from 1985 being sold by a dealer over 90 minutes away, but it would be difficult to arrange a trip there to play it. I have heard about the Baldwins built in China that are not the recently built being lower quality. Retsacnal, I do live in Cincinnati, and it would be cool to own a grand built there. Unfortunately, I can't afford even a quality used Steinway, so I've found that I enjoy the sound of the Baldwins very much. The treble was "crystalline"-sounding, as you stated. ![]() Michael, I'm not sure if this is the same concept that you were talking about, but the 1930 Baldwin had a good ability for a variety of dynamics and the bass sounded especially nice. ![]()
